Embossed

Beneficial patterning

Using embossed material for the exterior of your RVs is about so much more than just a nice pattern. Embossed aluminium is the lightest, most sustainable, and most affordable cladding solution. The embossed pattern adds rigidity and strength through geometric reinforcement and strain hardening. As a result, it is possible to use ultra-thin embossed material for manufacturing caravans, down to 0.45 mm.

This can result in significant weight savings. For example, when using Euramax Embossed, the weight of sidewall cladding (35 m2) per caravan is up to 33% lighter than the plastic alternative.

Lower material usage results in reduced material costs and reduces the CO2 footprint of vehicles. The carbon footprint of vehicles manufactured with Embossed is further decreased by its high percentage (>65%) of recycled content.

Patterns to follow

The wide range of available patterns, like ‘dune’ and ‘woodgrain’, enables designers and manufacturers to create bold and distinctive caravan exteriors. The designs can also be co-developed, giving you the freedom to define your own pattern and create truly unique vehicles.

Owners of embossed vehicles will not only be charmed by the aesthetics, but will also benefit from the fact that an embossed surface is very forgiving of scratches and dents.

Most affordable solution

Embossing not only has many aesthetic advantages, but also adds to the strength and rigidity of the material. This leads to a true win-win scenario: strong material means less of it is required to create a robust sidewall. And less material use means lower over-all material costs. Embossed cladding is the most affordable solution.

A revelation in weight

Because of the geometric reinforcement and strain hardening Embossed offers, RV sidewalls are lighter than those made of plastics. The weight of embossed sidewall cladding per RV of 35 m2 can be up to 33% lighter than plastics. Lighter RVs consume less fuel on the road.

For the green road ahead

Like all aluminium alloys, Euramax Embossed is fully recyclable. In addition, it consists of over 65% recycled content. Embossed really outperforms our other alloys in this area. The recycled content in combination with lower material usage supports significantly lowering the CO2 footprint per vehicle. Together we help to realise more sustainable vehicles, making the roads ahead ‘greener’.
