We were back again this year at CARAVAN SALON Düsseldorf. We were proud to exhibit at the trade fair, inspiring industry peers and consumers with our aluminium solutions. We look back on ten days of inspiration, valuable conversations, and rewarding connections.
About CARAVAN SALON Düsseldorf
CARAVAN SALON Düsseldorf is the world’s largest caravan and RV trade fair. During the event, the German city becomes the global capital for everything related to mobile leisure. Around 270,000 visitors from over 80 countries attend the fair in search of inspiration and the latest industry trends. CARAVAN SALON Düsseldorf proves once again that the RV sector is constantly evolving and driving innovation. Of course, Euramax can’t be missing from this event.
Meeting industry demands
During the trade fair, discussions with industry peers reaffirmed the vital role of aluminium as the exterior cladding material of choice for RVs. Almost all manufacturers face the same challenges: weight reduction, rising expectations in the luxury segment, and standing out in a crowded market. To every partner we spoke with, we offered the same solution: aluminium.
Because aluminium is a lightweight material, it can easily save up to 30 kilograms per vehicle. This is essential for staying beneath the weight limit for a standard driving licence. With additional luxury features adding weight alongside the demand for generous storage space, lightweight materials are no longer a nice-to-have, but a must-have.
At the same time, expectations surrounding vehicle aesthetics are rising. Standard white is losing ground to high-end designs, with a growing demand for metallics and vibrant colours. A trend that we’re seeing little by little at the trade show and that has been gaining momentum over the years. We demonstrated the incredible versatility of aluminium at the fair, convincing manufacturers of the design freedom the material provides.
Euramax beyond our exhibition stand
In addition to our bright, modern stand, which clearly demonstrated why aluminium is the ultimate material for caravan and RV cladding, our products could be admired across the CARAVAN SALON Düsseldorf. While not always immediately obvious, our presence was no less significant.
Our metallic finish aluminium featured prominently on Niesmann+Bischoff RVs, Kabe demonstrated just how striking custom colours can look on caravans, Hymer highlighted the incredible versatility of aluminium, and Hobby brought the material to life with their trusted designs. There’s a reason why we say: make sure your next RV is made of aluminium.
Dethleffs x Euramax Collaboration
At CARAVAN SALON Düsseldorf, Dethleffs unveiled the latest innovation within their ‘Future Concepts’ series: the Dethleffs c.core. The aluminium walls in this RV and caravan concept utilise a pioneering technique designed to build an even lighter, sturdier vehicle. The walls feature a specialised sandwich panel structured around a perforated aluminium core with honeycomb-like openings. These openings are filled with high-performance insulation foam, keeping the walls thin and lightweight while delivering exceptional rigidity and eliminating thermal bridging.
This is one of the latest innovations that Euramax is proud to be associated with. Once again reinforcing why aluminium remains the ultimate choice for RVs and caravans worldwide.
